Ferris Prima Nugraha was born in Pontianak, Indonesia in 2000. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering with a Minor in Physics from HKUST in 2022. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD study in Electronic and Computer Engineering at the same institution, under the supervision of Prof. Qiming SHAO. His research interests primarily revolve around the design of superconducting quantum computing hardware and machine learning. He is supported by the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS). Prior to his undergraduate at HKUST, he participated in Physics Olympiads, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals at IPhO 2017, APhO 2017, and APhO 2016 respectively.
